  3. Write a letter to Mrs. Donskoy’s next year student about your year in Mrs. Donskoy’s class, 350 words + It is called CLASS REFLECTION. Please see the draft you wrote in class. At home, type a second draft. Bring it to school tomorrow so that I can look at it. Do not post it on the blog yet.   Here are a few suggestions for your writing:
    1. Start with the things about the teacher that will help the future students to get to know Mrs. D. a little better. Tell us what she likes and what she does not like…
    2. Describe funny or interesting things that happen in class this year. Remember that this is only about the classroom, not the school events.
    3. Describe the projects or events you liked the most with a lot of details. When we brainstormed it in class, you remembered Arcademics, Winter Surprise Game, Wax Museum, Homeworkopoly, games in class like bouncing the ball and saying verbs, Halloween Science, building hovercrafts, Thanksgiving presentations, winter party, eco-friendly houses, and more. Look in our photo gallery for inspiration.
    4. Give advice to Mrs. Donskoy’s students about what they should do or NEVER, EVER do in order to succeed in her class.

Congratulations to our fifth graders who got FIRST PLACE at the ballroom dancing competition!!! Next year, it will be your turn! Get ready! Practice you dance moves over the summer ;)

First of all, I know that we did not get to the vocabulary and spelling tests on Friday, and that’s okay. We will review spelling and vocab on Monday, and you will take these tests on Tuesday. There will be no more vocabulary and spelling tests! Yes, you can scream, yell, and burst into a happy song or dance celebrating this joyous news! I will do the same!

The homework and Reading Log will still be going on. Yep. We will be working on developing a very important skill, completing work and completing it well. Most of you already mastered it and are ready to go to fifth grade, and some still need some work to do. Speaking of which, those who did not get to finish the homework on Thursday, please bring it on Monday. Remember that a bonus question is always a part of your homework. Think of it as a regular question.

We will start Monday with Science News… I got some really cool sites to show you.

Have a great weekend!

  1. Reading Log
  2. Science Handout – read and answer the questions, front and back.
  3. Get a lot of sleep to come to school focused and prepared.
